The actor and musician will be hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the fourth time on Saturday, April 5.
This is Black’s first time hosting since 2005. He is promoting “The Minecraft Movie,” which is expected to top the box office this weekend with $65 million, according to Deadline.
In his previous hosting appearances, Black has sung with his Tenacious D bandmate Kyle G about a “Hornet’s Nest” in the Middle East, encountered the Luvahs while on a ski trip, talked about being a megastar and rocked out during a monologue.
Black will be joined by musical guests Elton John and Brandi Carlile. The duo are promoting John’s new album “Who Believes in Angels?,” a collaboration with Carlile.
In a promo for the show, Black vowed to go “Nacho Libre” on John and Carlile.
He’s also taking his hosting duties a little too literally.
Black’s last “SNL” appearance featured the memorable Lazy Sunday skit that catapulted Andy Samberg to stardom.
